What a storyboard needs

What a storyboard needs

Evaluating each shot

There are several different things to take into account when drawing up a story board. First things first, you cant make a story board without having a script already written. To make the story board flow you should section the script into different shots and create it from there. As each shot is if drawn it is important to take these questions into account:
  • Where is it set?
  • The amount of Actors?
  • Are there any specific props needed?
  • What type of shot will it be?
  • Do you have the equipment needed for that shot?
  • Will you be able to follow the characters smoothly? if not what do you need to get?
  • Will the natural lighting be effective? if not do you have false lights you can use?
  • Do you need any special effects? If yes do you have a green screen?
